Gluten Free Foods
By Healthy Mom
Just because you or your child can't or shouldn't eat products with Gluten In them you can still have wonderful Gluten free treats to snack on and not miss the Gluten at all. A child that is on a Gluten free diet can feel left out or "not normal" so being able to pack them some traditional snacks can help out their emotional well being. Every one needs a little fun treat every now and then and people on gluten restrictions are no different. So here is a list of products That I have personally tried that I feel solve this problem nicely. I choose to buy these items on Amazon becuase sometimes that can be hard to find aswell as expensive in the specialty stores. Amazon even offers free shipping on many of these products and they are much cheaper by comparison.
Gluten Free Cookies
Pamela's Products has a line of Mini cookies called simplebites that are very tastey, all natural, wheat free, and gluten free. The whole family loves these cookies and they do not taiste as if they are missing anything infact I would say you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between them and Chips Ahoy!. The cookies come in traditional chocolate chip, extreme chocolate, and the classic ginger snap.

Gluten Free Bread
Many people don't understand how bread can be gluten free. It does not have to be made with wheat flour. In fact it can be made with other substitutes like rice flour, coconut flour or even tapioca flour. Breads that lack gluten can sometimes taste slightly more dry but they do not have to taste bad. We tried out several different types of breads and brands before we came to settle on the ones we liked the best. In fact my toddler doesn't seem to notice any difference.
We prefer the Ener-G Foods Tapioca Loaf because it stays soft but isn't to chewy. Its not the best tasting plain by itself but as part of a sandwich it tastes like traditional white bread.

Gluten Free Pizza
What kid (or adult for that matter) doesn't like pizza? I know my son loves pizza and asks for it a lot. Pizza also is something that is hard to avoid. How many birthday parties do you go to where they are serving pizza and you have to tell your child that they can't have any? Well what we have been doing is making our own gluten free pizzas by buying special dough mixes or premade pizza dough shells. This way no one has to miss out on the fun or be singled out. Our home made gluten free pizzas are so good infact its hard to keep the other kids from eating them.

my wife and I are having to be on a gluten free diet. I have been on the diet for 4 months. My wife has been on it for 7 months. Though we feel a lot better we still miss some of what we used to eat. Your hub gives me more ideas. Thank you!
Excellent - most stores do carry the gluten free products now.
Be careful when buying gluten free pizza from pizza bars. They are often not what they say they are and people have often reacted to them, due to cross-contamination or staffs' lack of knowledge of toppings. I have blogged about it here: http://hubpages.com/profile/infonolan
